Meet The Team

Artisan Village Director / Owner

Heidi is the director and owner of Artisan Village. She is a proud mum to three children and along with her husband, they run Artisan Village as well as 2 local nurseries, Cuddly Bear Daycare. Heidi does not have an art background, but she strongly believes in the power of art as the creative arm of her imagination and childhood experience. Her love for creativity stems from her Mum, who always had her sisters and her make and bake; paint, draw, knit, sew and cook. She recognised the importance of imagination and play for her children through making, sharing ideas and being proud of their little achievements!

“ Having grown quite naturally from a children’s arts and crafts club, it has expanded into friendly, creative hub for people of all ages to express their ‘inner artist’. Artisan Village provides our wonderful local community with the chance to explore an inclusive and inspirational setting to enjoy making art - I hope you will join us to find out! ”

Pam is a visual artist, lo-fi crafter and unapologetic clutterhound who loves printing, drawing, sewing, papercutting and making pinatas. She likes making instead of buying new, repurposing instead of pitching out and she eventually always gets around to using that weird thing she kept because she might need it for an art project one day. When she’s not leading workshops, she spends her spare time looking at art, singing in bands and mooching around boot fairs in search of mid-century treasure.

Shahnaze is a lover of colour who specialises in painting and drawing. Since her Fine Art Degree, she has mostly been creating canvas pieces and public murals. You might find her work in the odd short film, a primary school assembly hall or a quaint nursery toilet. Shahnaze is a keen traveller, loves a good music festival and is fascinated with Astrology and things similarly unconventional. She calls her Art her therapy and greatly enjoys the time that she spends creating and helping others to build their confidence with their Art.
